Smart TRANSPORTATION lighting

Aarhus Light rail designed by Holscher, includes custom made light system.

Smart TRAFFIC lighting

Most slip roads have to have a required amount of light at night. That leaves the constructors with the option of only using regular masts that rises up high. When the slip road leaves the main highway, it is to connect the driver to another road. In this transition the light poles will appear disturbing and wrong positioned.
By using low mounting light in this transition zone, it becomes the secondary element, and leaves the focus on the two connecting roads instead. It is possible with these lights, only to focus on the essential elements of the slip road and not include other disturbing elements.
This more subtle experience leaves the driver with a better understanding of both the traffic as well as the road.

In modern bridge construction, a bridge never has a build-in lighting solution. Therefore the iconic shape of the bridge is often compromised by the retrofitted light mast that makes a lot of visual noise and leaves the user with the idea of still ongoing construction.
By using the low mounted lighting concept, the shape of the bridge will come across more clearly.
The concept will also allow a much more controlled direction of the light that can bring great benefits to the overall architecture by carefully choosing, which areas to highlight and which not to.

Smart OFFICE lighting

Today, 6 out of 10 of your colleagues do not wash their hands after toilet visits. It is not very nice to think about it. Unwashed hands quickly spread bacteria from place to place and person to person, potentially leading to unnecessary disease. Berendsen offers a proven and effective solution: Berendsen LightGuide is a high quality product with a built-in nudging process that takes you through the correct wash procedure.
A soap dispenser, hand disinfection and paper roll (all non-touch), toilet sensor and modem. When the toilet is used, the sensor sends a signal to the controller. Berendsen LightGuide collects anonymous data from each toilet visitor. This allows full insight into your company's behavior. You will receive the data in a monthly report.

Smart URBAN lighting

The next generation of light planning
DOLL RealSite allows you to explore a virtual version of DOLL Living Lab, where you can create your own designs and experience the products from the virtual catalogue in a realistic environment - at day and at night.
Communication and decision-making
DOLL RealSite offers a game-changing way to engage clients, users and citizens, so you can get feedback, ensure buy-in and in the end make the decision that is right for you.
A unique opportunity for municipalities
"The most important thing DOLL Realsite can create is an inspiring and unique customer experience through virtual reality. Customers can even see and experience different lighting systems and products and get an interactive experience, which I think they will appreciate. I like that it happens on the customer's premises – the customer can get a real opportunity to see and try out different lighting solutions, and how it will look in a city," says Astrid Simonsen Joos, CEO Philips Lighting, Nordics.
DOLL Realsite can be experienced both in 3D on the computer and in virtual reality with the characteristic large glasses and a joystick. Anyone can have the virtual reality experience in HTC Vive and Oculus Rift either at DTU at the DOLL Virtual Lab, in Utopian City Scape or at the DOLL Living Lab. Municipalities can even get the 3D experience on their computer screen in the office.

Smart HOME lighting

A smart home, or smart house, is a home that incorporates advanced automation systems to provide the inhabitants with sophisticated monitoring
and control over the building's functions. For example a smart home may control lighting, temperature, multi-media, security, window and door
perations, as well as many other functions.
